Karen Gayle Tinney is a known artist and designer whose work consists of pieces that combine ceramic and fiber, drawing inspiration from the interplay of the materials. The fiber components are incorporated where the ceramics leave off; completing the shape or acting as the physical connection between incomplete parts. 

Lengths of fringe adorn three sides of this tall white vase, which is sized generously to hold a large arrangement of flowers.

Hand formed stoneware with satin brown glaze. Light gray cotton fringe detail. Inside is glazed white, vessel can hold water.
