Niwaki Daikiba Secateurs

Named after the Japanese term for ‘big tusk’ or ‘fang,’ these hardy secateurs are up to everything from trimming tough branches and stems, to opening compost bags and cutting garden twine. The substantial weight and feel is enhanced by the chunky bypass, which combined with the tapered, slightly elongated blade allows for both precise and powerful pruning - ideal for both woody and soft green cuts. The drop forged SLD (semi stainless) steel blades hold their edge, sharpen up well, and crucially, won’t rust unless completely neglected - meaning these are somewhat lower maintenance than other secateurs, and perfect for those prone to lapses in discipline…

Daikiba Secateurs come without packaging, but instead with a Canvas Holster to keep them in perfect condition.

Always use the base of the blades for heavier cuts and be mindful of the maximum cutting size (up to 15mm depending on the plant type). Always cut diagonally across the branch, and avoid twisting or applying uneven pressure. Clean the secateurs after each use and treat with Camellia Oil before storing in the Canvas Holster.
